The Return of Spatula Boy!

Here are pictures from before and after the church Halloween Party. We couldn't get one without him crying beforehand. The party was pretty much a bust for us because he wouldn't really eat (and dinner was late for him) and he was too small to do much of anything else.

That's What Friends are For

Gavin and Matthew are so cute together. When Matthew comes in his car seat, Gavin goes over and (after he throws out his blanket) tries to unbuckle him to spring him from his seat! When Matthew wakes up from nap time, Gavin also goes in to greet him! Sorry the pictures are sideways, blogger thinks it's smarter than me!

Next I plan to buy a low hamper to teach him to put his clothes in it!

Yum, pasta!



Philip's Japanese coworker told us about Tokyo Kid's Club that comes on only on Friday mornings. They play songs and things related to daily life, sort of like a Japanese Sesame Street.



Sticker Boy!





Aunt Jessica gave us a potty to use, and I put it out so that he would get used to the idea of it. Look what he thought of it: A place to put things...What a great place for the sippy cup! (Although I guess that's what a lot of toddlers think when they try to flush things down the toilet!)

Sharing...

...what's that? Matthew has begun pulling up on things, so I put him in the walker while I went out to rotate laundry. When I came back, I found that Gavin wasn't being so good with sharing. The funny thing is that no one was crying until I went to take the pictures!

Tower uh, oh!

Gavin had made a tall tower with the blocks all on his own, but unfortunately, when I went to take the picture was the instant that he went to add another block... you can see what happened, but you also get the picture that it was pretty tall!

Ready to go Out!

Gavin has begun to think that no matter what he is wearing, if he has his shoes on, it's time to go out and play. He has brought his shoes over to Daddy when he was still wearing his footy pajamas, and in this picture, he was wearing nothing but a diaper, but still thought it would be a fine time to go out and play as long as he had his shoes on. It's even funnier to think that I usually just let him go outside in the backyard bear foot... a lot of times I only put his shoes on when we go to the store!

On the Swings at the Park

We went to the park the other day to give us something different to do between Matthew's first nap and lunch. Unfortunately there weren't any other kids there, but at the same time we had free reign on the equipment.

Gavin and Matthew have begun to play (side by side) together pretty well.





Gavin has been experimenting on which balls are appropriate to put in the turtle...

In the Backyard

Aunt Jessica built a garden bed for us to use. Here are the kids playing in it while it was cold outside. I think Gavin looks SO cute in his sweatshirt.

Armored Boy

Last Christmas I bought Philip some bamboo "blocks," just so there would be something that he didn't expect under the tree for him. They are shaped just like the bamboo plant, so they are rounded. Philip thought it would be funny to make them into armor for Gavin, so he has taken pieces and placed them on his legs, shoulders, etc. One day when I was playing blocks with Gavin, he started placing them on his legs like Daddy. I told Philip this and he thought it was hilarious. This time was when Daddy was home and we used rubber bands to keep them on.
