Utah Trip Day 3

July 8, 2012: My poor little guys! Last night Gavin threw up 3-4 x's I lost track in my drowsy state... Then now during nap time Colin showed me his tummy and had me kiss it because it hurt. Then a bit later he asked for a band aid on his belly button. Now he has thrown up twice... :-/

•  Oh and keep your fingers crossed for me! My stomach feels a little queasy...

   Face is healing faster than knee. It looked way worse first then has done much better. Have a few more appointments.

Zombie Boys

I have had a heck of past six weeks. Gavin has had a fever and ear infection, a fever and sore throat, then they both got pink eye! My red eyed three year old reminded me of a zombie.



Colin had it, too, but not nearly as bad as Gavin.



Then Colin had a fever for days, and a terrible inexplicable cough. It sounded like Pertussis (whooping cough), but he had already had three vaccinations for it. The doctor said she would think it was Pertussis if he had only had one vaccine, but not with three. He even got a treatment of albuterol using the nebulizer, in case it was asthma, but it didn't seem to help. He did, however, have an ear infection in one ear, so he is taking antibiotics now for that. What a cruddy way to start the summer!

Sick Boy

Gavin was pretty much all last week, throwing up at least once four out of six days. He didn't eat much all week. He's finally starting to eat better (depending on what it is).

Poor Baby

Last night Gavin was SO whiny, he wouldn't stop crying. He also felt hot, but I wasn't sure if it was because he was crying or something else. At around 7:00 he put his head down on the couch and settled down. He fell asleep in that position, with his feet still on the floor. I moved him so that his full body was on the couch. When Daddy came home 20 minutes later, we decided to take his temperature. We did it under the arm, so it's not quite as accurate as other ways. The only thermometer I could find was in Celsius, Philip did the conversion in his head (and added a bit because it was under the arm) and his temperature was 100 or 101. We gave him ibuprofen, changed his diaper, and put him to bed. By morning his temperature was more normal. This is the first time he's had a fever at all. We think it could be tooth related. He still doesn't have all of his molars yet.
