Gavin!

I think I took this picture because Gavin was so tuckered out, he took a nap!

Gavin wanted to take a picture because he brother had just taken one.  He colored this picture at school.

He was making Thomas go round and round!

Gavin LOVED this huge strawberry!

We went to an orthotist for Colin's new shoe inserts and Gavin took pictures on my phone.  These were the best he took:

That's his shirt!!!

Gavin wanted to see my "elevens," which I determined to be the two lines you get between your eyes when you furrow your brow.  Here Gavin is trying desperately to show me his "elevens" and failing miserably! (Since he has no wrinkles!)

We were watching the weather report on TV and Gavin told me to click on one! He is so used to using the Wii where you use the remote to click on things and touch phones...

I got Gavin to watch a program on the Japanese channel.  It was an art show, but as far as I can tell, it's not a series because I haven't found it on since :-(

More Colin!

Colin loves the bunnies outside!  Look at his cheesy smile!

He so wants to be a big boy!  He wanted to use the wiimote like we do!

Swimming!

Yesterday we went swimming for a little bit before dinner.

Here Gavin is swinging around his shorts; he had just been trying to put them on, both legs in one.

After swimming it was time for me to make dinner. I let Gavin watch a bit of tv to keep him occupied. He was so cold after the pool he loved using his quilt!

TV Zombie

Philip thought that this was funny enough to take a picture of yesterday. He was slouching over, eating, and watching Elmo.

The Switch to DTV

Probably a lot of you aren't affected by the switch from analog to digital television because you have either satellite or cable, but since we have neither, we had to make sure that we were ready. We have been seeing the commercials for months about how analog television is was going away in February. Well, it's now February and since several million households had done nothing to get ready for the switch, they are extending it to June! If they haven't already done anything by now, I'm sure most people won't do anything until they absolutely have to, right? Several stations have even been putting on half hour specials about all the options when switching to digital, including channel 18, our local Asian channel that carries programing for several Asian cultures at different times. We watched the channel for its Japanese programing. We saw their special on switching to DTV and they kept showing a cow and having it moo saying that it was so easy even a cow could understand!!! And yet there are people who still haven't done anything?! That' their own dang fault. No one ever died from television withdrawals, right?

Anyway, we're excited about the switch because, as of this morning, there is now a 7 day a week Japanese channel! (Before it was only Saturday and Sunday nights.) I was hoping for some kids programing in the morning, but this morning it wasn't so. So far I've seen programs about Japan in English. Not exactly what I was expecting. I just checked the website and it seems that their big thing right now is the prime time programing. I couldn't find a schedule other than that. I guess we'll have to see if they add any kids programs, etc. added if the station is well received.
