Chocolate Bunny Time!
I thought it was probably time to give Gavin his chocolate bunny from Easter. He LOVES chocolate!!!

Back to Running!!!!
Colin and I ran a 5k a couple of weeks ago. I didn't do as well as I would have liked; it's kind of hard to maneuver between people with a stroller, even if it was only the single jogger. Here is a picture of us!!!
We are all running a 5k this weekend with Philip's work, Philip said that he would push the kids in the double jogger so that I could get a chance to see how fast I can run! (LOL, the pressure is on now, as Philip said, I won't have any excuses if he's got the kids!)

Aquarium with Friends
We had the opportunity to go to the aquarium with friends. I forgot my camera, so thanks for taking pictures, Dori!
We went with my friend Dori, and her son, Matthew. Here are the backs of their heads.

Gavin had his partner in crime stay at our house for a sleepover nap after we had been out to the aquarium. Not much sleeping went on. Matthew had been laying down with Gavin, but by the time I got my camera he had sat up.

Colin's First Solid Food!
Colin has been waking me up the past four nights or so anywhere from about midnight-2am wanting to eat. He then eats as usual at 4:00 or 5:00am. He hasn't needed that feeding for quite sometime, so I am thinking that he needs a little bit more sustenance in his diet to tide over his hunger. Today I bought him some rice cereal and tonight he ate it.
The "before" shot. He hadn't even tried any, he was probably just thinking, "What in the world is going on? This is not right! Why are they putting me in this chair?!"
First bite. No tears like Gavin.
He actually seemed to like it pretty well. He ate all I made at first (about 1/2 an ounce) so I poured in the rest of the milk I had pumped (about another 1/2 ounce) and mixed it up for him. I accidentally poured too much cereal and had to add water, so I made a lot more than I intended the second time around. I am thinking he may have eaten a total of an ounce or so, though. Good job, Colin!!!

Spring Roll
We had an activity at church today where the kids and their families can bring any toy with wheels and ride it around in the church parking lot with no danger of being hit by cars. Kids brought bikes, razors, skitters, etc. Aunt Jessica brought her pedicab. Here she is below giving Gavin and Jillian a ride (sorry you can't see Jill and I cut off Jessica's head, but you get the idea).

Here is what Colin did the whole time. He looked at his toys, sucked on his pacifier, and then fell asleep. The pool was pretty warm, about 85 degrees, but the wind made it really cold outside of the pool when wet. Staci thought it might be too cold for Colin because of that and I didn't have any swim diapers his size yet anyway. The last thing I'm sure they want is baby poo in their pool!

Smarty Pants Gavin
When Gavin was playing the other day, he told me the trains made "L." It's backwards, but yes! Also, see the teething toy in the upper right corner of the picture? Gavin got it out and told me, "number." I mentioned the number story to Philip and said that I told him, "Yes, it's 8!" and Philip's response was, "What, you didn't tell him it was infinity?"
Gavin decided the other night that he wanted a bath, he put the small tub in the right place and turned the water one. Here he is bending down like I do after I add soap. I usually swish the water with my hand to make some bubbles.

Colin's Accomplishment
Colin can now roll over!!!! I was going to wait to do this until I had the video ready, but it's taking too long for me to get the program I need to finish the clip up. If I put it up in its raw form it would be almost two minutes of screaming followed by him FINALLY rolling over.
I was outside with the two boys blogging (there's a surprise) and I went to get closer to the house to upload pictures with a stronger signal and I came back and found Colin like this: (sorry it's sideways)
Then later that same day, I saw Colin do it with Gavin right next to him.
Here he is after the screaming video that I will post later. He was having fun playing after all that hard word.

The Gavinator Stories and Updates
I thought what he did with this blanket was cute: it looks like he is "King Gavin."
I have a policy of no trains outside, since it would be easy to ruin or break them. He had one of his Thomas trains in his hand and I told him he couldn't take it outside. Then he grabbed this train and said, "How about this one?"
Gavin began potty training one week ago today! No success the first day, but peed on the potty the second. Then there was Easter and all that excitement, then we went to the zoo, and then the park the next morning. Then the next day I went shopping in the morning and all these things distracted him from going in the potty. So he's only had a few successes, including trying to go poo on the potty once, but I think he is getting it. There is no way I could have stayed home for a week straight without going crazy... so I will take what I can get. We have also been spending time outside, and I don't expect him to be able to make it to the potty from outside, so if we were inside I know he would have done better (although when we were outside he peed off of the side of the trampoline, so he is definitely aware). One of the times he went out of sight for a while and it turns out he went poo! He told me about it right away and showed it to me. Don't worry, I didn't take a picture, hehehe. I now know that he knows when he is going and he can make it to the potty, but just needs practice. I am not even worried about nighttime or nap time, those will come in time. Whenever we are home he is either naked (I have let him do that outside) or in big boy pants. I hope to have many more successes soon.

A Day at the Zoo!
It's spring break! We were invited to go to the zoo and since Gavin can appreciate the animals now it was more fun: the last time he went to the zoo he was Colin's age.
The alligator was in plain view.
Here is Colin hanging out.
The fox was really cute, but can't be photographed through the fencing.
Prairie dog!
The kids thought that these viewing areas in the prairie dog exhibit were so fun. Sage held up Gavin so he could see, but he wasn't having any of it.
This is really to wash your hands after the petting zoo (which was closed) but the kids all loved it.

Josh had fun pushing Gavin. The umbrella stroller Aunt Staci brought was a hit with the kids. They all wanted to push it, even Gavin.
