We got the keys to our new house on May 10!!! We moved our first big load on May 12 and started to set up the play room so that we could *hopefully* have them play while I could work on the house...
Our empty can rack. Yay!
Found my water polo suit and a swim cap from my one season of water polo that I played. Great memories and thinking about it makes me want to swim some again!
One of the biggest things I did before we moved in was to remove someone else's funky old contact paper. It turned out there were a couple of layers! It was SO stubborn! I literally spent hours on it and had a friend (thanks, Dori!) help me, and I still had more to do. Finally I wrote about it on Facebook and my mother told me to use an iron on it. It worked SO much better and was MUCH quicker, thanks mom!
Here are some pictures of our new house before furniture. We had already moved a few things over before I thought to take pictures official "before" pictures.
Our den.
Downstairs bathroom.
Love the storage of what we believe to be a converted shower stall!
Kids' room.
Hallway and linen closet between the kids' room and playroom.
Laundry.
Kitchen. You love our floor, don't you?! You know you're jealous.
Our stove top with pilot lights that are on all the time (make the stove top quite warm, too) and only two working burners...
Someone LOVED plants...
Dining area.
Top of stairs. Super cheap peel and stick laminate...
The office.
View from our office window.
Master bath.
More cheap stick on laminate flooring. It was stuck on directly over existing flooring where a bit can be seen on the right of this photo...
Master bedroom.
Chandelier in the stairway.
