Christmas Party & Santa!

We went to the church Christmas party this year.  There was food, family, friends, singing, and of course, Santa!
Gavin at the Christmas party at church.  What a goofy face!

With Santa!  The boys didn't get a picture with Santa last year.

They received reindeer antlers when they saw Santa.  Cute, huh?

The Zoo!

We are now members of one of our nearby zoos. There is a small train which Gavin is obsessed with!!! We went with friends and had fun!

Baby Sit Ups

I had been doing sit ups with Colin by putting my hands on Colin's shoulders and then a toy in my mouth to motivate him. Gavin was trying to help me! I have decided that holding Colin's hands works better for me and he doesn't need a toy to motivate him when I do it that way.

Tooth #4 finally fought its way through Colin's gums! You might be able to catch a glimpse of it in one of these pictures!

More!!!!

We were at Aunt Staci's house and she and Sage were working with Colin on signing the word more to get more food. He started responding to them so I worked on it more the next day. He doesn't do it exactly, but he gets the message across. Here is a link to asl pro. They have a main dictionary, but also a baby dictionary (that has less word choices that are relevant to babies so that parents don't have to search through as many words to find what they are looking for). Babies are capable of communicating through sign before they can speak intelligibly. I did some signs with Gavin when he was a baby--mainly eating words. I have been trying to do a few more signs with Colin as well like milk and water.

I have a video that is too large to post here, so I need to figure out how to make it smaller!

Gavin in Space...

...with Curious George!

This was a picture that they e-mailed Philip from the day they went to Pretend City.

Plugging in

Gavin was pointing the cord in holes in the books. I thought it was cute. Philip took the pictures and was having fun playing with the settings on the camera.

Spinning Around

This was before the physical therapist told me not to use the jumper with Colin. They both seemed to be having a great time.

Decorating the Christmas Tree!

Me going through the ornaments for the tree.

Our decorated tree. We bought a red tree skirt that we added to the bottom after this.

Goofy Gavin!

A friend of mine gave us some clothes for Colin that are a bit too big, size 2T--and I left them out in the kids' room. Gavin really wanted some pajamas during nap time, so he squeezed into the pj's!

Playing Colin-Style & Reading Gavin-Style

Colin was playing with the top in his own way. He was putting it upside down so it would spin down and he would watch it.

Gavin was reading with Colin! I love how he is willing to teach his brother and do things with him (not that he doesn't have his bad moments with his brother--he hates it when Colin tries to dismantle his tracks!!!)

Colin was getting tired of having a long distance relationship with the book. He loves the touch and feel books.

I had Gavin show Colin how to feel the book.

Our reading of the baby books to Colin has brought Gavin's attention back to them. He opened up this book and started "reading" it. He said, "Once upon a time..."

I tried to have him "read" the book again, but he wouldn't cooperate. I thought that it was cute, anyway.

Mr. Tie Boy

Gavin has really been liking ties and has wanted to wear them even when he hasn't been dressed up for church. This tie happens to be Colin's!

Goofy boy wouldn't pose for me!
