Jenny's random pictures

I love pictures that include aspects from nature. I went all the way back to January so I could include this year's pictures all together so far.

This was from one of my early morning runs, I thought the moon looked cool!!!!

This street looked gorgeous!  We pass by here on the way to taking the five year old to school.

Sunrise on another morning run!

Palm trees and clouds!

Sunset after the gym one evening.  The boys LOVED it!!!!

Love the cloud pictures! I think this was taken at the seven year old's school.

A rose from our garden!

More clouds...I think this was another sunset after the gym.

The patchwork view from an airplane!

Love the horizon from an airplane!

Sunrise when we were in Texas.

Big and fluffy!

On the way to Japanese school one Saturday morning.

After Japanese school at the park.  A gorgeous day!

Getting off of the freeway...

The pyramid!

Driving down the street...

Another morning run, there was fog on this pond...

Loved the sunrise this day and the glint behind the trees!

The five year old was very excited about this ladybug!!!!

Gardening so far this year

Here is what I have worked on so far this year, with more in the works.

I bought a blueberry bush this year!  Hoping it turns out well, there were already a few blueberries on it when I bought it!

The first thing I planted were these, sugar snap peas and wax beans.

My little helper!

I got a some seeds from a friend and bought the bag on the right last year, but never planted, so I decided to try growing them from seeds.  I planted them in an egg carton and put them in the window.  I labeled the side and felt like I was labeling a fruit salad, "cherry, pear, and orange!"

A few years ago Gavin picked out moonflowers for us to plant, but we never did.  We planted some sunflowers last year and so I thought it would be fun to do it earlier in the season (I think I did late June or early July last year). Then I discovered the moonflowers were a vining plant and bloom in the evening and stay open at night, so I decided to buy another climbing flower that blooms in the daytime, morning glories.  We are going to need some trellises!

My tomatoes sprouted!!!

What a difference a day makes...

Our blueberry bush in its new home.  So far so good...

I also planted space master cucumbers cucumbers in a pot and I plan to plant pumpkins in a pot as well, but I haven't had much luck with them before.  I planted the chives in various spots in my garden and planted the corn in a circle, as recommended by someone after my ears of corn didn't have kernels all up and down them like they should.  I planted the carrots in one end of planter, but don't have much hope for them.  I haven't had much luck with carrots in the past, but this variety has done the best of any I have tried.  The sugar baby watermelons I plan to plant as well.  Last year I got a few, but never got any to full maturity, so hopefully we can do better this year!

100 miles finished by the five-year-old

Our five year old has been working hard since September to make 100 miles that he finished today!!! Way to go, Colin!!! Congratulations!!!!

I love the determination on his face! It's hard to see because of the lighting, but cute!

Coming in at 100 miles!!!

He did it!!! Been working on this goal for more than five months!

Philip was able to go in late to work so he could be there and we took a family pictures!

Colin got to pick his 100 mile foot from several tie dyed colors, he wanted the one closest to blue.
