House Pictures

So it looks like we will be buying our first house!

This is the view from the second story.  I don't think this picture does it justice.

Funny story.  Gavin had to do #2 and the water wasn't turned on.  I told him not to go, but he did anyway.  *sigh* Philip found a big Arrowhead container underneath the sink and our Realtor 007ed it to the neighbor's hose and filled it up.  Philip force flushed it down with the help of a plunger.

The garage!  Look at the built in storage and work bench!  Philip is in love!

The front room.

The WALK IN CLOSET!!!  Yay!

The master bedroom.

The backyard.  The back of the neighbor's garage is what we are looking at.

The back door.  If you look at the ceiling to the upper left they never finished painting!

The kids gravitated towards and LOVED the stairs!

The kitchen with the hideous floor!

Birthday Party!

Gavin went to a birthday party of one of his classmates.  There was an awesome face painter and balloon artist that came.  We had a good time!

Field Trip to the Zoo!

We went with Gavin's class to the zoo!  Gavin was obsessed with the map that day!

Gavin LOVES flowers.  He wanted me to take a picture!

Gavin's favorite animal!  I like how it has a feet measuring stick posted so you can see how tall they really are in pictures!

What is wrong with this picture?!

I had a few more cute pictures of Gavin and a few of his friends on a lizard and a snake, but I think it's best to avoid posting pictures of kids in his class.

Eating Breakfast at School

We all ate together, but we weren't all that impressed with the cinnamon roll or bean burrito breakfast.  Philip had to go to work before I thought to take pictures.

Bad angle for the pictures!

Gavin's pictures

I LOVED this ladybug.  Too cute!

Anpanman.

Here is the hat Gavin made at Matthew's party.  Had to take a picture of the inside because he took time to decorate it!

My zebra!  He went back later and put on stripes.

Flamingo! I had Gavin give Dori.

Here is what he wrote:

Here is a picture he made for Philip.

He writes Dad all by himself!

Here is the picture he drew for me the same day.  He said that the whale ate the little fish, lol.

He made my name unique!  He writes his own name, Dad, Mom, and even Colin without help now!  He can also read several site words including the, and, a.

Conducting?

I thought that it looked like Colin was leading the music!  LOL, for sure he will be our musical one!

Terra Cotta Warriors

We went with my mom to see the terra cotta warriors that were found in the tombs of Chinese royalty.  It was really cool, but kind of hard to do with the boys.  Sorry a few pictures might look a bit blurry and not show the detail as I would have liked, but we weren't allowed to use the flash on our cameras.

It was really interesting that they took the time to make different faces and hairstyles on each of the warriors.

There were listening devices where we would type a code to hear information on displays.  Colin and Gavin both wanted to do it!

Colin liked the animals!

Colin thought this dog looked like a pig!

This was a very intricately detailed lock!

A woman's headdress.

I really hope this was just a representation of a pillow not something that anyone would ever be expected to use!

This dragon was very cool!

Looked kind of like a bug from the front, though.

We thought it was interesting that the ideal of what a woman should look like changed.

Colin was trying to take a picture of me with the listening device!

This looked pretty cool.

How could this be used as a hand warmer?

More intricate work on a set of beautiful chopsticks.

We walked down to the nearby children's museum to give the kids something age appropriate to do, but it was already closed.  Argh!  Colin had fun swinging while Gavin used the restroom, though.

Philip gave Gavin a ride!

Gavin was all tuckered out and for some reason Colin felt it appropriate to put a towel on Gavin's face...
