Swimming!

Yesterday we went swimming for a little bit before dinner.

Here Gavin is swinging around his shorts; he had just been trying to put them on, both legs in one.

After swimming it was time for me to make dinner. I let Gavin watch a bit of tv to keep him occupied. He was so cold after the pool he loved using his quilt!

TV Zombie

Philip thought that this was funny enough to take a picture of yesterday. He was slouching over, eating, and watching Elmo.

Belly Update

Here I am at 12 weeks, 3 days and again at 8 weeks, 3 days. Not much progress in the belly area in the past four weeks; I guess I just popped out a little sooner than last time...hopefully it doesn't mean that I will get bigger overall... we'll see...

I have a standard appointment this Monday. It will probably include my weight (but who's counting, right?) and listening to the heartbeat with a doppler! That will be awesome, we haven't heard the heartbeat yet, although we have seen it on the ultrasound! She might even start talking about scheduling me for another ultrasound, there is one usually around 20 weeks, but sometimes they are scheduled sooner. A friend of mine said that if I am anxious to know if it's a boy or a girl there is a place that she knows of where it is only $20 and it includes a DVD so maybe I'll do that; you can tell the gender visually at something like 15 weeks. Will keep you updated!

Daddy's Day Off

Philip took the day off work last Friday. We went to Target and Gavin decided to join a little boy who was playing on the floor...

Then we went down to play at a park to play before lunch.

Afterward we had lunch at a crepes place. It was yummy. What a great day!

In the garden and backyard

Daddy and Gavin had fun in the backyard a while back. I finally got around to taking a picture of it. Can you guess who drew what?

Just had to take pictures of the ladybugs I saw in my garden.

This was one of Jessica's peas. It was so tiny!

Then I noticed that I finally had the vegetable of my labor on my own pea plants!!!

My tomato plants are going crazy still, but I still haven't seen any actual tomatoes yet...

My strawberries have blossoms now, well, at least one plant! (and that one plant has several!!!)

Gavin just had to be part of the fun, even if he can't climb as well or as high...

Eating!

The other day I gave Gavin some raisins while he was eating his PB&J. He thought that they would be good in his sandwich.

Drinking like a big boy!

Cleaning Boy!

Gavin is a cleaner. I have written before that he sometimes goes into the kitchen and gets rags out of the drawer and brings them back to clean up messes, but he also cleans up his own messes at the table. We caught him on video a few weeks ago, the videos got lost in the files and I just remembered them today.

Yummy, corn!

The other night I left Gavin for a few minutes while I went to check my e-mail. When I came back he had served himself up a whole plate full of corn and was actually eating out of the bowl.

He used the serving spoon! No less than the best for Gavin!

Washing the Car!

Gavin and Josh helped me wash my car last week. They both did a very good job helping.

Here is the reason I washed my car. Birds had dive bombed it over the weekend.

Gavin thought it might be fun to test the waters of the wash bucket.

He sat in it. Fun!

That is one full diaper!!!

And who wouldn't want to take a ride on the skitter in a squishy diaper after a hard day's work?

Playing in the Backyard!

Had fun last week in the backyard before this heat wave struck!

Come on Gavin, go down the slide. He sometimes does it by himself now. They grow up too fast.

Gavin checking the new chickens out and the new chickens checking him out.

He was driving by himself and he waved to me like he was really leaving!

He also blew a kiss! I love it when they try to act all grown up.

Here we go, some serious driving going on!

Got all of a few feet to the chicken run!

Sometimes the wheels don't turn right...
