10 years together today!

Ten years ago today Philip and I committed to a life together as husband and wife!  I can't believe it's been that long that we have been together!

In the past ten years together we have earned two Bachelor's degrees, had seven different jobs (me a student assistant, filer in a psychiatrists' office, a para-educator, and a substitute teacher; Philip a Tae Kwon Do intstructor, an auditor, and now an accountant at Toyota).

Most importantly we have brought into the world two handsome boys!

We have also bid on what will hopefully be our first house.  More details to come on that later!

Hello new PT in February!

The second week in February Colin started PT at a new place.  He is back to going two times a week and he sees two different people now.  It is a pediatric physical therapy place that has more equipment available than did therapy with Ms. Karsti.

I thought this was interesting!  I never would have thought to put such a little one on the treadmill!  He has a toy to keep him occupied while walking!

Ball pit! Gavin is allowed to play on the equipment if I am watching him and he doesn't get in the way with others doing their therapy.  At least for a while, I think he loved coming to therapy more than Colin!

Jumping on the trampoline with one of his therapists!

Here he is with one of his therapists.

Goofy Gavin!

Here is Gavin playing with a balloon that got away.  This is in the main part of the gym where Colin spends most of his time.

Colin's wearing one pound weights!

Upside down!

 Roll on down!

Gavin got to do it, too!  I think that this is a really good picture of him, despite my fingers!

Colin was trying to hide amongst the balls and failing miserably!  He was even tossing a few up, to cover his head, I think!

Gavin's track!

Gavin got excited because one of his cousins was over for a bit and he built this creative track!  Unfortunately she left and he never played with it... he's not that into playing with the tracks and trains these days... don't get me wrong, he still LOVES his trains, he just seems to have moved on from the Thomas train playing phase.

Philip's car boo-boo and playing at the park!

Philip's car wouldn't start and it wasn't the battery, so we had to get it towed by AAA.  Thank goodness it was finished by the end of the day and a couple hundred dollars later, could have been much worse!

Afterward I decided to take them to the park via bicycle since Philip took my car to work for the day!

I thought that this was hilarious!  He had a little Hitler 'stache going!  It was a mixture of snot and sand! Ew!

Garden Update

I have planted spinach and carrots!  One our to-do list for this summer are pumpkins (a different variety) watermelon, green beans, and peas.  All of the peas from fall are pretty much dead.

I didn't have much luck with carrots the last time I planted them, I only got ONE and it was BITTER.  I thought I would try a different variety, especially because Gavin wanted to plant some.

This sprouted where I planted spinach, it's now bigger and I'm not sure it IS spinach, LOL.

We have had pretty good luck on the Swiss Chard (other than the fact that the chickens were eating it all for a while).  Gavin LOVES to pick it and seems to like eating it as well.  Unfortunately while picking off a leaf he pulled out a WHOLE plant and it withered a few days later even though I tried to put it back in the ground.  Now we have one plant left.

SO cute!

Bad finger!  I have to remind myself not to have any fingers out when taking a picture with my phone!

We are getting a couple of CARROTS!  Yay!  Can you pick them out?

I do it myself!

Colin managed to get off his own shirt!

Happy Birthday, friend!

Believe it or not, Gavin is only 8 1/2 months older than this friend, but you wouldn't know it by looking at them.  They have been friends since his friend was born!

Good Bye, Ms. Karsti!

This was one of Colin's last times with Ms. Karsti.  With her hectic work schedule, she was not able to renew her contract with the regional center, so I am supposed to receive a phone call this week from his new therapy office to set up an appointment for next week.  He will be back to 2x's a week again, even though he has improved so much: going from rolling only to walking in seven months! For his age, he's still far behind:  he tested at what a 14 month old should be doing, so more than a year behind his peers.

These are from his last session with Ms. Karsti the first week in February.  I am way behind with my posts.  He saw her at a new place while the regional center worked on getting him a placement with a new physical therapist.

Feeding the ducks and playing at the park!

We went to the park with friends to feed the ducks!  Always a great time!

Perfect timing coming down the slide!

Took a picture of this duck because we thought it was interested since it was a cross between a white duck and a black duck and you don't usually see that!
