Japanese School New Years Potluck

Every January the Japanese School does a potluck to celebrate the new year.

I thought this onigiri (rice ball) was too cute, I love ladybugs!

They were doing a traditional dance.

Gavin did a dance with some of the other kids.

Busy Saturday!

Another gymnastics class for Colin!

A short video of him doing a couple of things.

My honey built me raised garden beds to go on our concrete slab in the back. He made them from cedar fence posts. Here are the plans: http://ana-white.com/2010/05/hack-natural-rustic-cedar-raised-beds.html

Cousins!

Cousins snacking together!  I thought they were too cute!

Weekend Fun and Projects

A couple of cute pictures from this week's gymnastics class!

Gavin made a わに (alligator) at Japanese school.  It was SO cute!

We made picture rails for the wall.  We used 2x2's, hangers, a chair rail, finishing nails, and stain to complete our project.

Big helpers!!!

The before and after shots of where the picture rails will go.  In the after shots I tried to get creative with our clock and put what each number stands for on the clock.  Not sure if the kids even care.  I try anyway!

The boys watched a spin off of the British claymation show, "Shaun the Sheep" called "Timmy Time."
In that show they made trains using a box and decorations.  Of course the boys wanted to do it as well!!!

I got a new vacuum cleaner, yay!

I asked my 5-year-old (Gavin) if he wants another baby and he said yes. Then in a sing song voice he said, "I want to see how the baby comes out."

While driving towards the sun, 3-year-old (Colin) said,  "Daddy, can you turn down the sun, so it's not shining in my sight?"

More Cuteness and Cleaning!

Five year old Gavin called these, "penguin goldfish crackers."

My friend, Dori, helped me organize the front room.  Thanks SO much!!!!

Found this book of Japanese counters, thought it was cool!

Founds some cute bento stuff!

Gavin had on two shirts, since it was cold.  Look how he buttoned them up!

My cute screensaver.

More Randomness and Schoolwork

I couldn't get the picture to come out in the dark, but I believe Colin had crawled into bed with us.  So cute!

Colin's preschool work.

I LOVE the hand print art!

Inside of card.

I LOVE ladybugs!

Made my friend's recipe for "sweet and sour" chicken.  Texted her the pic.  She told me she can't make it anymore since her husband doesn't like it!

Jenga fun!  Look how high the tower got!

Beautiful sunset picture a friend took while just after we got out of the gym.

Gavin drew these faces...
