Pretend City!

Philip took Gavin to Pretend City. We will update it when I can convince Philip to sit down and narrate what was going on in the pictures. For now, here are just the pictures.

Fall Cleaning

I decided to mop the floors, including moving furniture and the rugs. I also decided to wash the mat that goes under the rug to give it cushioning. I thought it would be a fun job for Gavin, so I had him get in the bathtub and wash the letters. When he was done, I had him put them on a towel.



I left him for a little bit and came back and he was underneath the mats! Silly boy!!!!

Engineer-Chef Gavin

Gavin likes to play chef sometimes. This time he was wearing an engineer's hat at the same time. I thought it was cute!





He likes to bring me food that he "cooks." Here he is putting together a sandwich.

Colin eating like a big boy!

For the most part, Colin is now eating regular food--with the exception of most meat, which I grind up so that he doesn't choke.

Here he is at Grandma's house eating a bologna sandwich like a big boy!

Here he is eating a different burrito...if you notice that there is green in it, that is because I ground up snap peas into it.





He got it up his nose!!!

Colin's Lego Playing

For his one year old post, I mentioned how Colin likes to play with the Lego table. Here are a couple of pictures and a video of him playing!

Our rubber duckies are among Colin's favorite toys. That along with the diaper rash ointment tube, the spray bottle I use to moisten the cloth wipes, and destroying his brothers tracks--oh and we can't forget the cord to the laptop! At least he likes a couple of things that are intended to be toys!

We just got pictures from my mother's camera. We were at their house for Halloween night.

This is getting to be a common nighttime sight. Colin seems to want his blanket off his feet, or perhaps it just happens that way since he still LOVES to kick!

Birthday Toy Fun

Colin's cousins were so excited to give Colin this toy for his birthday! He likes it!

Meanwhile, Gavin SO wanted to be a big boy. He went and got this chair himself to sit down with the big boys.

School in October!

It's fun now that Gavin is getting to be a little older, he now remembers some of the songs he sings at school. He usually sings them randomly, but mostly in the car. We tried to get a recording of him singing one of the Halloween songs, but he didn't cooperate.

This month, of course, brought a lot of Halloween themed projects!



I am so excited and impressed that Gavin did this himself!



This is another view of the black spider pictured above.



I thought it was funny that Gavin made the jack-o-lantern frowning. I asked him about it and we had a little bit of a conversation about happy and sad.



Gavin also did LOTS of painting this month.



I thought that this was a cool science/art project.



Another fun month of school! We have a shorter month this month with Veterans Day and Thanksgiving, but I am sure he'll bring home some fun things!
