Terra Cotta Warriors

We went with my mom to see the terra cotta warriors that were found in the tombs of Chinese royalty.  It was really cool, but kind of hard to do with the boys.  Sorry a few pictures might look a bit blurry and not show the detail as I would have liked, but we weren't allowed to use the flash on our cameras.  

It was really interesting that they took the time to make different faces and hairstyles on each of the warriors.

There were listening devices where we would type a code to hear information on displays.  Colin and Gavin both wanted to do it!

We walked down to the nearby children's museum to give the kids something age appropriate to do, but it was already closed.  Argh!  Colin had fun swinging while Gavin used the restroom, though.

One Friday Night

My mom, aka Yellow Haired Grandma, took Gavin for a sleepover the for the first time! My baby's growing up!

Field Trip to Pet Smart

We went to Carl's Jr. for lunch and then over to Pet Smart for a tour.

Silly Boys!

Gavin wanted to get in on the action of the picture-taking when I was trying to get pictures of his brother jumping on the trampoline.  

We were driving to physical therapy and they were dancing in time to each other and the music!  I thought it was adorable!

Gavin got a flower clip from "Big Spin."  Big spin is the reward the kids get for being good at the end of the week.  He got it for me.  So sweet!

I bought him brand new shoes, he put the on in the car on the way to school and then was at school for four hours, I came home and he was already getting a hole in them!  I took them back to the store that same day and they had no problems with me returning them.  Makes me want to shop there more!

Gavin was throwing a ball up in the air and wanted me to take pictures.  One of the times he hit himself in the head!  I was hoping he'd do it again and I could get it on camera, but it didn't happen.  Got a couple of other interesting shots, though.  

Gavin brought this home from Big Spin on another day, it's his "Diamond (shaped) ring".  He's been wearing it now for weeks and the silver has all rubbed off to show the gray plastic underneath.  I have been joking with Philip and calling it his, "Godfather Ring." 

Gavin has been being more daring lately and now likes to climb on top of play structures.  I encourage him to get down himself, since he gets up on his own.  Otherwise I know he will be asking me to help him down all the time and I definitely don't want that.

In physical therapy they told me doing hills would be good for Colin.  I sometimes run hills, so I had Colin and Gavin do the hill by themselves, then I pushed them up in the stroller afterward.  I was amazed Colin made it up the big hill!

I thought it was cute that Colin was using this HUGE shovel!

Colin can jump on the trampoline! It was hard to get a good shot of him because I was just using my iPhone on a whim.  I was surprised to see him jump on his own!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Right before Valentine's Day my mom gave my boys Conversation Hearts.  Colin seemed to really love them, then we realized that he had not been chewing them and had sugary drool coming from his mouth.  We told him to spit them out, but he refused!  So I then fished them out with my finger.  There were 27 hearts in his mouth if I remember correctly!  Little piggy!

We woke up to a heart attacked yard!  There was a note from a "Happy Girl Cousin" with some candy!  It was so sweet.  Libby later told me she was the one who did it.

I went for a run on the track with the kids that night in the stroller.  I ran 200's which is 1/8 of a mile and paused Strava, my running program, it in between.  I have an easier time doing shorter distances and it told me I got my personal record on a mile, I am pretty sure I won't be able to beat the time of 6:32!  I have never been able to run that fast all in a row. I think my fasted time in high school was the low seven minutes.  

Apparently the excitement caught up to Gavin because he fell asleep with the lollipop in his mouth!!!

It was a good day!
