Short kiddie stories

Colin called my spaghetti worms!  Thought that was too cute!

You know that reflective metal thing in the tub?  Gavin caught a glimpse of himself with wet hair and he started rubbing his hair.  I asked him about it and he was trying to rub out the brown! He knows his hair is "yellow" and didn't know what was wrong with his hair, so I explained that it gets to be a darker color in water.  

In an attempt to get a scrapbook going for Colin, we got one with 14 premade layouts! 

I made pizza crackers in the toaster oven. Yummy...

Not sure at what point, but Gavin used the toilet paper holder as a step to see out the bathroom window...

Someone threw a bowl in the sink and broke a cup... 

This is a mouth made of paper, tape, and marshmallows. I somehow overlooked it when doing the schoolwork page.  Philip and I cut out and taped those paper mouths. 

My sweet Gavin has a flower obsession.  He now LOVES to give out flowers!  He got these from school!

Randomness

Colin would carry around stools to use for a while.  This one came from the bathroom.  What a great problem solver!

Play dough time!

Gavin spelled FOX completely on his own!  If you see under his arm in green I helped him sound out MOM.  

He sleeps in his big boy bed now!

Colin was trying to put in the earbuds and I thought that was so cute.  Gavin wanted to get in on the action!

At the park!

We did a family day at the park where we played and had a picnic.  

What was I taking a picture of?  About half way down the slide there is a little hand holding on the side.

Colin LOVES eating Nori (seaweed)!  

The kids loved playing with this "telephone."

Hahaha!  My mom pointed out that Colin has his finger up his nose almost to his second knuckle!  

Pet Store!

Gavin talked about pets at school and now he wants a fish.  Here it was so cute that he was holding up Colin so he could see better!

Making Valentines!

I started making Valentines super early, but then didn't get them all done and in the mail in time to reach some people before the day...

I had Gavin sign all of his Valentines!  He's getting pretty good at it!  

A little more randomness

I bought a triangular shaped onigiri mold.  I think it's most practical!  

We finally found a place for the collage that Gail made for us.  Thanks again!

New Bunk Bed!

We decided that a bunk bed would probably work better for us than the daybed and trundle we had for Gavin.  

So we took it down.  

And we put together a new bunk bed for the boys!

He got so excited about the bed that he conked out afterwards!

Colin wasn't too sure about this new bed, even though I had let him pick out new sheets!

Both of them in the bed, but Colin wound up sleeping in the crib!

First time sleeping in his new big boy bed!

Just because he slept there once didn't mean anything!  He insisted on sleeping in his crib for a while, so we knew we would have to take the crib down!  He'd say, "This bed," referring to his crib.
